State of the Great Lakes in Full Color
January 29, 2013
Thanks to the efforts of a team of researchers led by Dr. David Allan at the University of Michigan, the past and present of the Great Lakes has been comprehensively recorded and mapped. The Great Lakes Environmental Assessment and Mapping project (GLEAM) hopes to share vital information that will help conservation and restoration of the Great Lakes system.
The map’s information outlines the human and environmental “stressors” that have accumulated such as pollution, climate change, and habitat alterations.
